"Radiant heating the way the rest of the world does
it"
The Flat Panel Radiant System is a European style heating system, like the old
fashioned radiant heat, but designed to contain the optimum volume of water for
greatest heating return and quickest response time. Although the units can be
used with steam systems, running at 140-160°F,
this system provides comfortable heat efficiently with individual control of
each compact unit.

Valve Sets
and Thermostatic Heads
-
These sets are designed to be used in conjunction with radiant
panels. There is a whole methodology for installing and operating this type of
system which does not use the concept of large "heat zones" in a
house. Instead, each radiant panel is able to regulate the heat based on its own
temperature sensor (thermostatic head), and is essentially a "zone" in
and of itself. Individual radiant panels can then be set to the desired
temperature, or turned off if the room is not needed. 1/2" pex compression
fittings.

LaserTec Radiant Heating Panels
Stelrad has discontinued this model of radiant panel, and we are closing out the
current stock of panels, valves, and accessories at a discount of 30% to
60% off retail list price Radiators, valves, and accessories continue
to be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

The radiant panels are finished in an enamel coated "warm white"
(RAL 9010) and the current stock contains all 4 heights, 12" (320mm),
18" (470mm), 24" (620mm) and 36" (920mm). The units are available
in three different widths, single panel L11 (single panel with one set of fins
for an overall thickness from the wall of 2 1/2"), double panel L21 (double
panel with one set of fins for an overall thickness from the wall of 3
1/8"), L22 (double panel with two sets of fins for an overall thickness
from the wall of 4 5/8").
The
design allows for minimal visibility of pipe and valves. The thermostatic valve
body and flow control is built into the unit in order to create a more
stream-line appearance. Each unit is pre-tested to 150 P.S.I.
Note that these panels are designed for use with PEX pipe, although it is
entirely possible to merely use a short piece of PEX pipe, connected then to
copper or npt piping.
